Connect-CIServer - Data at the root level is invalid

Recently the Connect-CIServer cmdlet started failing. I've checked the permissions and they are all ok.

For example, the following code:

Connect-CIServer - server vcloud.myorg.com -User authorizeduser -password pwd -org orgname

throws the error:

"Data at the root level is invalid"

The browser connection to https://vcloud.myorg.com/cloud/org/orgname and login with same user is working fine.
