Move a VM by powering off between two hosts, shared storage

Dear Experts,

Please guide me for the following case. There are two Esxi hosts, host 1 is Esxi 4.0 and host 2 is Esxi 4.1. There is SAN storage datastore which is visible to both of the hosts.

I have observed from solard winds VM monitor utility that host 2 is consuming 90% of memory while its CPU is ok. On host 1 it is normal. So I want to move few VM's to host 1. So Please correct me if what steps I am thinking are OK. I will power down the VM to be moved from host 2. Then I will remove it from inventory of host 2. Then on host 1 I will go to the data store inside the folder of that VM and right click on the file 'say add to inventory' and now I will see this VM in list of inventory of host, just power it ON and every thing is perfect , is this correct ?

Second question on same hosts there are some other data stores which are only visible to a host. Like if this is the case there is a VM on a datastore which is visible to host 2 and I also want to move that VM to host 1 to reduce the load on host 2. How to move this VM because this datastore is not visible to host 1? Shall I need to copy this VM files to a datastore which is visible to host 1 ? if YES then which actual files required to copy?

Kindly assist me.

Kind Regards,
